The Team Lead will oversee the execution of residential and commercial landscape jobs, including grading, irrigation, landscape beds, stormwater drainage, and turf installation.
This role requires a strong sense of urgency, good problem solving skills, and an understanding of capabilities and resources (equipment/personnel).
Pay range of $28 – $32 based on experience

Responsibilities of the Landscaping Team Lead:

• Perform and oversee planning, equipment and labor scheduling, and execution of residential and commercial projects.
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Ensure all job site activities are performed safely and adhere to company processes, the company safety manual, and industry safety standards.
• Report all safety incidents on the same day they occur. Provide feedback to the team about the incident, identify issues, and outline strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Direct team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting internal and customer requirements. Ensure that project quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve constraints to ensure effective project execution.
• Address any issues promptly to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate project objectives, scope, and quality standards to personnel. Provide constructive feedback to team members on the job site as needed. Provide timely feedback to Clients and management
• Address personnel issues and provide conflict resolution when necessary.
• Ensure that all personnel issues are documented promptly.
• Conduct regular personnel reviews to highlight strengths and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support for team member development.
• Ensure Company Cam is updated with progress, work-in-progress (WIP), and completion photos of all major project steps.
• Review and update Knowify with time, material, and expense details for projects.
• Ensure team members accurately record their time.

Requirement of the Landscaping Team Lead:

• Active and relevant certifications in construction, project management, or pesticide applications
• Knowledge of planting plugs, plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Knowledge of irrigation system installation and commissioning.
• Knowledge of stormwater drainage.
• Knowledge of turf installation, including broadcast seeding, hydroseeding, and sod installation.
• Knowledge of construction equipment/materials and their appropriate use.
• Knowledge of standard rates for activities performed by the team.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, project plans, and budget/costing.
• Ability to calculate/estimate needed resources materials/personnel for projects.
• Direct and mentor team through servant leadership fundamentals.
• Ability to positively delegate work activities to team members.
• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to get the most from the team.
• Active involvement in the planning and budgeting process.
• Ability to travel intrastate, including overnights.
• Valid drivers license and clear background check
