Pay Rate: $43,000.00/Yr – $48,000.00/ Yr, with benefits!Snelling is looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager for a well known, established family owned steakhouse and grille in operation for 45+ years in the Grand Rapids area.  
This is a Direct Hire opportunity!
$43,000 – $48,000 based on experience
Bonus program, advancement opportunities
This position often demands long hours with night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
The assistant restaurant manager assists in overseeing all operations at a restaurant, front and back of the house.

Assist with front of the House Management Responsibilities:

  • The dining room’s appearance
  • Hiring and training quality staff for bar and waitstaff
  • Excellent customer service
  • Strong organization and leadership skills
  • Conflict resolution for addressing customer complaints and handling staff disputes
  • Responsible for supervising the cleaning and maintenance of guest areas
  • Directing staff to attend to messes or accidents and assisting in cleanup are both critical responsibilities in maintaining the customer experience
  • Upkeep all restaurant areas. Include improvements that will benefit cleanliness and image of the restaurant
  • Shift Planning (Ensuring each shift is properly staffed, Use scheduling systems to assign waitstaff based on anticipated demand
Assist with back of the House Management Responsibilities:
  • Cost control/ financial abilities
  •  Ensure food and beverage costs are in line
  • Assist with hiring and training of kitchen staff
  • Help and assist the kitchen manager to maintain company expectations of food cost based on detailed analytics
  • Help kitchen manager to create menus that are effective and cost efficient
  • Ensure invoices are all placed correctly in the dedicated folders. Address any credit issues to the controller of the company to ensure credit is acquired when granted
  • Provide inventory reports for food and beverage as company guidelines require.
