Snelling is looking for an experienced Sign Production Assistant at a busy company on the South side of Grand Rapids. Candidates should have experience with vinyl weeding and placement of lettering on signs as well laminating of signs to be considered for job.

1st shift, 6am – 4:30pm M – F, occasional Sat work as needed.
$18 – $19 based on experience –  temp to perm

Responsibilities of the Sign Production Assistant:

• Follow a layout to place vinyl or full color prints on a predetermined substrate
• Prepare substates for vinyl application (may include cutting, laminating, cleaning)
• Weeding excess vinyl that was cut on plotters
• Quality pre and post production
• Reading & interpreting work orders & proofing for errors
• Laminating, cutting and mounting printed products
• Operate equipment in graphics department (large printers, computers ect)
• Maintain equipment,
• Help load,store and inventory graphic material
• Clean and maintain department

Requirements of the Sign Production Assistant:

• Previous experience working with vinyl signs
• Previous experience laminating, cutting vinyl, weeding, mounting vinyl, ect.
• Knowledge of windows operating system
• Valid transportation – not on a bus line
• Clear background and able to pass a drug test
